This incredible backyard wedding came together within 24 hours. That’s not a joke. I can’t believe it either. Travis and Kirby had a 2020 April wedding planned, but when news broke that COVID-19 had made its way to the US and our state would be shutting down in just a few days… They decided to get married that very weekend, surrounded only by their closest family members. I was lucky enough to be invited to photograph it.
They had the ceremony and reception in Kirby’s parents’ backyard and it was nothing short of beautiful. It was a true labor of love with every single family member working and contributing to make the day what it was. Kirby got ready and dressed in the bedroom that she grew up in and walked down the familiar stairs as a glowing bride. Her oldest brother officiated the wedding and there was no shortage of emotions.
My sentimental heart could have burst that day. I feel so special to have been included. I also learned exactly who I need to call if I ever need to pull off a spectacular event in less than a days notice. 🙂
